Capability 05

Verification, Validation & Assurance

H4X connects assurance evidence to the decisions and mission outcomes it must support, maintaining traceability across the engineering lifecycle.

The problem

Start with the decision that needs to be made.

Test activity can generate large volumes of evidence without answering whether the capability is fit for its intended mission. Assurance must connect requirements, risks, operating context and acceptance decisions.

Build an evidence chain that demonstrates the solution is correct, coherent and fit for the mission.

Questions this work helps answer

  • What must be demonstrated, and at what level?
  • Does the evidence address mission use as well as specification?
  • Which gaps create material technical risk?
  • Is there a defensible basis for acceptance?
